LIGO Lab

LIGO Lab detectors listen for ripples in space time created by large events, like black holes colliding. Hundreds of people work together to build, improve and listen to the signals from our two huge detectors in the US.

We are a physics and astronomy project, based at Caltech, that detects gravitational waves. The main concepts presented will be engineering, physics, and astronomy, including a tabletop interferometer model.
